Derek Bell

Derek Bell is a seasoned investment banking professional with extensive experience in the Business and Tech-Enabled Services sectors. Currently serving as the Managing Director at Equiteq since June 2025, Derek previously held the same title at D.A. Davidson Investment Banking from April 2019 to April 2025, where leadership was provided over business and tech-enabled services investment banking. Prior roles include Managing Director at GCA Advisors, focusing on M&A and private capital markets advisory services, and Principal positions at Piper Jaffray and Banc of America Securities, overseeing transaction execution and client coverage across various business service subsectors. Derek holds an MBA in Finance, Accounting, and Entrepreneurship from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and two M.S. degrees in Transportation Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
