Michael Kowalczyk

Michael Kowalczyk, CPA, CA has a diverse work experience in the finance and asset management industry. Michael started their career at Deloitte Canada, where they worked in the Audit department from 2005 to 2009. Michael then joined Fengate Property Management Ltd., initially as a Controller - Real Estate from 2009 to 2014 and later promoted to Vice President - Finance, Real Estate from 2015 to early 2015. At Fengate Asset Management, they held the role of Vice President - Asset Management, Real Estate, from 2015 to 2019, where they were responsible for developing and executing value maximizing strategies for a real estate portfolio.

In 2020, Michael moved to Starlight Investments, where they first served as a Director of Asset Management from 2020 to 2022, and then as an Executive Director, Asset Management from 2022 to 2023. In these roles, they led an asset management team, executed asset-focused strategies, and drove financial performance in an institutionally owned multi-family portfolio.

Currently, Michael is working at Equiton Inc as a Senior Director of Investment Finance, starting in 2023, and later promoted to Vice President of Investment Finance & Asset Management in 2024. Overall, they have had a successful career in finance and asset management, with a strong focus on maximizing value and driving financial performance.

Michael Kowalczyk, CPA, CA holds a Bachelor's Degree in Honours Economics and Administration with a Diploma in Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University. Additionally, they are a Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) certified by the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario).
