Kurt Edmark

Kurt Edmark, CPA has over 30 years of work experience in the finance and accounting industry. Kurt began their career in 1991 with Farmer's Insurance Group as a Senior Accountant, AP Supervisor, and AR Supervisor. Kurt then worked as a Tax & Regulatory Manager at Celtic Life Insurance Company from 1995 to 1997. Following that, they held the role of Accounting Supervisor at McDermott, Will in 1997. From 1998 to 2001, Kurt worked as a Senior Accountant at Metropolitan Life Investors. In 2001, they became a Senior Accounting Analyst at Mutual Trust Life Insurance Company. Kurt then joined XL America in 2003 as VP & Controller, overseeing financial operations and reporting for various operating units. Kurt later served as the Director of Regional Financial Reporting at Aviva North America from 2011 to 2012. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as an Independent Accounting and Financial Reporting Consultant, providing a range of services including financial reporting, capital management reporting, and process development. In 2015, Kurt worked as AVP Statutory Financial Reporting at Voya Financial before joining EquiTrust Life Insurance Company as VP - Financial Reporting in the same year.

Kurt Edmark, CPA, pursued their education at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from 1983 to 1987. Following this, they continued their academic journey at the same institution and acquired a Masters of Accountancy degree in Accounting from 1987 to 1988.
