Michael Averkamp

Michael Averkamp, MBA, CPA, currently serves as VP of Financial & Capital Planning & Analysis at EquiTrust Life Insurance Company, where responsibilities include developing policies and leading the Financial Planning & Analysis department. Previously, Michael worked at Guggenheim Insurance Services LLC as AVP of Corporate Planning, overseeing the annual five-year planning process for multiple insurance companies with combined assets exceeding $70 billion. Prior to that, Michael held the position of Supervisor of Financial Reporting at Conseco, contributing to complex data mapping, cash flow analysis, and statutory financial statement preparation. Michael began the career as a Staff Accountant at Westgate Resorts, managing accounting functions and financial statement preparation for several resorts. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting from UCF College of Business.
