Michael Podvin

Director Of Operations at Equity Shift

Michael Podvin has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies.

Michael currently serves as the Director of Operations at Equity Shift since October 2021.

Prior to that, they worked at Nasdaq Private Fund Solutions starting from August 2020 till October 2021 as the Director of Implementation. In this role, they consulted with private equity fund managers and their advisors, onboarded partners and advisors to the Nasdaq Private Funds Solutions platform, and executed regular auction programs for funds and fund managers.

From 2015 to 2020, Michael worked at Nasdaq Private Market. Michael initially held the position of Director of Implementation, where they advised executive teams of private companies on best practices for corporate transactions and expanded service offerings. Later, they became an Account Manager Senior Specialist, where they oversaw primary contact and operational lead for over 75 private company transactions, including a secondary tender offer exceeding $1B in transaction volume.

Before joining Nasdaq, Michael worked at SecondMarket, starting from 2012 to 2015. Michael first worked as a Senior Associate in the Issuer Solutions team, where they collaborated with product and engineering teams on developing a new transaction platform and oversaw $1B+ in transaction volume. Michael then became an Associate, managing daily operations and reviewing compliance submissions.

Michael also gained experience from internships at Chaffe & Associates, Inc., Ben Franklin Technology Partners, and Tulane University, where they held various roles in finance and student organizations.

Michael Podvin attended Tulane University from 2008 to 2012, where they pursued a dual degree in Finance and Legal Studies. During this time, they also attended the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, where they completed a Master of Accounting degree with a focus on Finance and Accounting.
