Stephen Donahue

Stephen Donahue is currently the Engineering Lead at EquityMultiple. Prior to that, they were a Software Developer at Mission Capital Advisors from August 2018 to March 2019, where they developed frontend AngularJS and backend Golang and MongoDB features for a data ingestion tool. Stephen also scaled and streamlined the application to handle workloads of millions of rows of data per minute.

From July 2016 to March 2017, Stephen was a freelance web developer. Stephen replaced time-consuming manual content ingestion procedures with a custom PHP plugin that automatically pulled new content into client’s CMS from 3rd party sources. Stephen also enhanced user workflow by redesigning unintuitive UI widgets of the most commonly used features, implementing them in AngularJS. In addition, they increased service availability and uptime by developing comprehensive test suites to identify defects before code was released. Stephen also facilitated deployments with on-call support, providing emergency troubleshooting and code fixes. Finally, they configured and deployed Apache web servers and administered AWS EC2 Linux instances.

Stephen Donahue's educational career began with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

They are on a team with Dominick Villegas - Front End Developer, Sam Levin - VP of Engineering, and Pradeep Rawat - Full Stack Engineer. Stephen Donahue reports to Peter Shankar, CTO.
