Frédéric Barman is a specialist in environmental sciences, land use planning, and mobility, currently responsible for the development of standard gauge railway infrastructure for the State of Vaud and the implementation of the cantonal railway strategy Vision 2050. They began their commitment to sustainable development at the Federal Office for Spatial Development (ARE), contributing to the sustainable development strategy for 2012-2015. From 2020 to 2024, Frédéric held the position of Project Manager for Planning at the Federal Office of Transport (OFT), where they directed the transport sectoral plan and managed various complex projects. Frédéric holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Geosciences from the University of Lausanne and a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of Geneva.
