Shannon Morris has an extensive work experience in the field of medical oncology. Shannon is currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer at Erasca, Inc. since April 2023. Before that, they held the position of Senior Vice President, Clinical Development at the same company from May 2022 to April 2023. Prior to joining Erasca, Inc., Shannon worked at Istari Oncology as the Vice President of Clinical Development from September 2020 to March 2022. Shannon also worked at G1 Therapeutics, Inc. as the Vice President of Clinical Development from April 2017 to September 2020. Before that, they had significant roles in MedImmune and GSK, where they served as a Senior Director from October 2014 to March 2017 and from January 2011 to October 2014 respectively. Shannon's career began at GlaxoSmithKline in 2006, where they held the position of Director from February 2008 to December 2011 after being an Oncology Drug Development Fellow from July 2006 to February 2008. Prior to their industry experience, they completed their Medical Oncology Fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from July 2005 to February 2008, and their Internal Medicine Residency from June 2002 to July 2005.
Shannon Morris pursued their education at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine from 1994 to 2002. During this period, they earned both an MD and a PhD degree, with their doctoral studies focused on Molecular Virology.
