Bertil Blok

Bertil Blok serves as Hoogleraar at Urologie, Erasmus MC since June 2023 and has held the position of Chairman of Guidelines in Neuro-Urology at the European Association of Urology since 2013. Additionally, Bertil Blok is a member of the Centraal Tuchtcollege voor de Gezondheidszorg and has been involved with Erasmus MC as a Urologist and medical coordinator since 2006, also presiding over the multidisciplinary Erasmus Bekkenbodemcentrum. As a neuroscientist, Bertil Blok has contributed to the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Urologie as Chairman of the multidisciplinary guidelines for Neurogenic Bladder since 2011. Previous experience includes a fellowship in Urology at McGill University Health Centre and an assistant professor role in Anatomy at University Medical Center Groningen. Early career experience also includes a research associate position at NASA Ames Research Center. Education includes a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Erasmus University Rotterdam acquired between 1981 and 1990.
