David Häckes is currently a PhD student in the Department of Molecular Genetics at Erasmus MC since July 2022. Previously, David served as a research assistant at the Fritz Lipmann Institute (FLI) from April to September 2021, where responsibilities included cell culture, Western Blot, qPCR analyses, and immunostaining. David also worked at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology from September 2018 to September 2019, focusing on aphid maintenance, alkaloid isolation, and sample preparation. Additionally, David was a student tutor at Friedrich Schiller University Jena from October 2016 to July 2019, assisting in practical lab courses and teaching basic skills in R Studio. David obtained a Master of Science in Biochemistry from Friedrich Schiller University Jena in March 2021, and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in March 2018, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München in March 2015. An Abitur was completed at Oskar-von-Miller-Gymnasium München in July 2013.
