Mark Drost is a Clinical Laboratory Geneticist at Erasmus MC since February 2019, following a training period as a Clinical Laboratory Geneticist intern at Amsterdam UMC from November 2021 to January 2022. Prior experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Leiden University Medical Center from September 2005 to December 2018, where work focused on KWF and NIH funded projects developing functional assays for interpreting variants in Lynch syndrome genes and somatic variants in the POLE gene. Mark Drost holds a BSc in Molecular Biology from Hogeschool Leiden and has extensive experience in DNA sequence variant classification, assay development, Next Generation Sequencing, and supervising various students and technical personnel.
