Tom Cupedo is an Associate Professor of Hematology at Erasmus MC, a position held since 2006, where research focuses on the role of the bone marrow micro-environment in supporting cancer cells related to multiple myeloma. Prior roles at Erasmus MC include Assistant Professor and Junior Group Leader within the Department of Hematology. Before this, Tom Cupedo worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Amsterdam UMC from 2003 to 2006, where significant research contributed to the identification of human lymphoid tissue inducer cells (ILC3). Earlier academic training was completed at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where Tom Cupedo obtained a PhD studying the development of lymphoid organs and their relationship to chronic inflammation.
