Wouter de Herder

Wouter de Herder is a Professor of Endocrine Oncology at Erasmus MC in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, with significant research interests in neuroendocrine and adrenal tumors, Cushing’s syndrome, and the history of endocrinology. They earned their MD in 1985 and PhD in 1990 from Erasmus University, and were elected to the fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in 2025. Wouter actively participates in multiple national and international societies, including serving in leadership roles for the European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society. They have published over 600 peer-reviewed works and have delivered more than 250 invited presentations at conferences. Wouter has received several awards for contributions to the field of endocrinology.
