Chris Coleman is a highly experienced meteorologist with a robust background in operational forecasting and team leadership. Currently serving as Supervisor of Operational Forecasting at ERCOT since November 2012, Chris leads a team of meteorologists in providing weather updates, load forecasts, and renewable forecasting. Previously, Chris held the position of Senior/Lead Meteorologist, collaborating closely with load forecasting, system operations, outage coordination, and renewables. Prior experience includes roles at Exelon Power Team, where Chris focused on energy load forecasts and weather predictions for North America and Europe, and at Planalytics, managing long-range forecasts and forecast verification. Chris began the professional career at DTN, specializing in graphics design and international airport terminal forecasts. Chris holds a B.S. in Meteorology/Climatology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, complemented by minors in Math, Physics, and English.
