Jonathan Grotefendt

Jonathan Grotefendt is a Senior System Operator at ERCOT, where they monitor real-time system conditions to ensure reliability for millions of Texans. They are qualified in multiple operational desks, including Transmission and Security, Real-Time, DC-Tie, and Resource. Prior to joining ERCOT in 2017, Jonathan served six years as a Nuclear Electricians Mate in the U.S. Navy, including four years on the USS Nevada. They hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from Concordia University, Nebraska, and have obtained a NERC Reliability Coordinator Certification.
