Matthew Morais

Matthew Morais is an experienced legal professional with a focus on energy and environmental law. Currently serving as Assistant General Counsel at ERCOT, Matthew has held various legal positions including Senior Counsel at PJM Interconnection and Associate General Counsel at PSEG. Previous roles include Manager of Regulatory Affairs at Strategic Energy, Legal Counsel at the MA Division of Energy Resources, and Environmental Regulatory Associate at Earth Tech. Matthew started a career in research as a Research Associate at Genzyme and the Genetics Institute. Academic credentials include a Master of Studies in Environmental Law from Vermont Law and Graduate School, a Juris Doctor from UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of New Hampshire.
