Sandip Bhattacharya

Sandip Bhattacharya is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in grid and market solutions, currently serving as Technical Lead at ERCOT since November 2016. In this role, Sandip leads and mentors a team for 24x7 ERCOT Grid Operations Support while improving processes for NERC compliance. Prior to ERCOT, Sandip held a position as Senior GMS Analyst at Calpine, focusing on maintaining and upgrading a Linux-based EMS system, and worked at Entergy for over seven years as an IT Consultant in EMS SCADA applications, ensuring application availability, compliance with NERC standards, and leading various critical projects. Sandip's educational background includes a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology.
