Laurent Mathieu

Laurent Mathieu is an experienced insurance and reinsurance professional with a career spanning over 25 years. Currently serving as Head of Reinsurance Underwriting and Placement at ERGO Group AG since February 2018, Laurent previously held roles including Account Executive Reinsurance and a reinsurance professional in Düsseldorf after relocating to Germany in early 2017. Prior experience at Munich Re (Group) from 2014 to 2016 involved client management for Brazilian and international insurance companies, significantly contributing to client acquisition and product expansion in Brazil. Earlier professional experience includes working as a Facultative Underwriter at R+V Versicherung from 1994 to 1997.
