Deep Shrestha

Deep Shrestha, PhD, is a Senior Researcher at Ericsson, where they serve as a RAN4 delegate in 3GPP standardization meetings, focusing on enhancing cellular networks for high-accuracy positioning and efficient mobility management. Previously, they led initiatives in the Hexa-X project and managed a team of researchers working on sensing and localization for beyond 5G systems. Deep has held roles such as Deputy IT Systems Administrator at the UK Ministry of Defence and Base Station Sub-System Engineer at Nepal Satellite Telecom. They earned an MSc in Wireless Communication Systems and Circuits from Tampere University of Technology and a PhD in Signal Theory and Communications from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
