Eric Mugo is an accomplished cybersecurity leader with over 15 years of experience in the telecom sector, currently serving as the Head of Solution Security for Ericsson’s Middle East and Africa region. They have a proven track record in driving security, privacy, and risk initiatives, implementing strategies for security and privacy by design, and establishing governance structures. Previously, Eric held various roles at Ericsson, including MS Operations Head and Risk and Security Manager, as well as positions at Essar Telecom Kenya, World Food Programme, IBM, and Computech Africa. Eric is also the Chapter Secretary for (ISC)2 Kenya Chapter, demonstrating a commitment to thought leadership and stakeholder engagement in the cybersecurity field. Eric holds a degree in Computer Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and a Global Executive Masters in Business Administration from United States International University.
