Ioannis Xirouchakis

Ioannis Xirouchakis is a wireless telecommunications expert with extensive experience in management, team leading, system architecture, and algorithm design for 4G, 5G, and 6G systems, including non-terrestrial networks. They served as a research associate at the University of Athens and held various roles at Ericsson, including Head of RAN systems and Principal Researcher. Ioannis has also contributed to standardization efforts with 3GPP and worked in roles focused on LTE technology across several organizations, including Toshiba Research Europe and Sequans Communications. They earned a BSc in Physics from the University of Athens and an MSc in Communication Systems & Signal Processing from the University of Bristol.
