Joy B.

Joy B. is a Senior Data Scientist at Ericsson since July 2020, currently applying advanced machine learning models, including generative AI, in the telecom sector. Prior experience includes a role as Lead Data Scientist at Embibe, where machine learning models were developed to enhance student performance on standardized exams, resulting in a published paper at the Education Data Mining Conference 2020. Joy has held positions at Microsoft as a Senior Software Development Engineer, working on machine learning projects and evaluation frameworks, and at Samsung Electronics as a Senior Chief Engineer focusing on data intelligence and web services. Earlier roles include Senior Chief Engineer at Samsung India Software Operations and Software Engineer at DAI, with foundational experience as a part-time software tester and undergraduate laboratory demonstrator. Joy holds a PhD in Computer Science from The University of Manchester, an MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health from King's College London, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology.
