Rickard Ljung

Rickard Ljung is the Head of Device Communication Research at Ericsson, specializing in invention and innovation management within wireless communication, particularly related to 3GPP patents. They hold over 300 US patent applications, with more than 100 currently granted. Previously, Rickard worked as a Director at Sony, where they managed various research teams focused on radio access technologies and standardization. They also served as a Product Manager at ST-Ericsson and a Radio Communication Engineer at TeliaSonera. Rickard earned a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications from Lunds tekniska högskola.
