Tom Xu

Tom Xu is an Architect at Ericsson, where they have been working since 2010, focusing on GSM and UMTS Core systems. Prior to this role, Tom served as a Software Designer at Nortel Networks from 1996 to 2006, where they also specialized in GSM and UMTS Core systems. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Controls Engineer at MetroLaser Inc. from 1995 to 1996, designing a DSP-based gimbal control system for high precision optical data acquisition. Tom holds a PhD in Applied Math from The University of Texas at Dallas, which they earned between 1987 and 1991.
