Yimin Nie

Yimin Nie is a seasoned data scientist and machine learning engineer with extensive experience in AI/ML development, currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Ericsson since March 2019. At Ericsson's Global AI Accelerator team, Yimin specializes in applying large language models, designing NLP solutions, and implementing computer vision for satellite image analysis. Prior engagements include roles as a Senior Instructor in AI/ML education at Concordia University and as an AI/Data Science technical lead at Faimdata, where Yimin led multiple data science projects involving cutting-edge machine learning methodologies. Yimin holds a Ph.D. in Computational Neuroscience from the University of Lethbridge, along with degrees in Artificial Intelligence from the Technical University of Munich and Theoretical Physics from Peking University.
