Regional Sales Engineer at Erith Group

Rao is currently a Regional Sales Engineer at Erith Group. Prior to this, Rao worked as an Internal Sales Engineer at the Garlock Family of Companies from January 2018 to September 2020. In this role, Rao was responsible for interacting with end-users, EPCs, and representatives to accurately interpret customer needs and provide the best engineered sealing solution by highlighting products advantages. Rao also interpreted data sheets and technical requirements, performed sizing calculations, and responded to technical clarifications for bids including valve, gasketing, FIKs, expansions joints and monolithic joints throughout the middle east and African markets. In addition, Rao provided sales and technical support throughout the quotation phase until receiving the order and after-sales services.

Rao has also been involved in studying current GCC and African market requirements and initiating new product development activities. Additionally, Rao has collaborated with outside sales engineers using teamwork and accompanied sales engineers to products presentations, clarification meetings, and kick-off meetings to obtain technical information from clients when necessary. Lastly, Rao has maintained constant communication with factory contacts globally (USA, Canada, Europe, China, Australia) to provide important information regarding project details, order entry and progress reports.

Rao attended the University of Constantine 1, also known as the University of Mentouri Brothers Constantine, where they obtained their master's degree in engineering transportation of hydrocarbons.
