Ben Whelan

Ben Whelan is a Managing Consultant and Scientist at ERM, where experience includes managing capital project delivery and compliance, conducting wetland delineations, and overseeing stormwater compliance programs for over 50 sites in Texas. Previous roles at ERM involved significant project management and environmental due diligence, including completion of Phase I ESAs and Affected Property Assessment Reports that achieved regulatory closure. Whelan has a diverse background in environmental remediation, permitting, and compliance, alongside research mentoring at The University of Texas at Austin, where teaching included laboratory skills and concepts in animal behavior. Whelan earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with a focus on Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior from The University of Texas at Austin.
