Chieri Yamamoto

Chieri Yamamoto is a Sustainability Consulting Associate at ERM since August 2023, where responsibilities include drafting Human Rights Policies and conducting Human Rights Risk Assessments in both Japanese and English. Additionally, Chieri has experience in conducting Environmental and Social Impact Assessments related to development projects in alignment with IFC standards, as well as supporting the drafting of sustainability reports. Previous roles include volunteering at Amnesty International Japan, assisting with administrative duties and event organization for human rights advocacy, and interning at Human Rights Now, contributing research and writing on labor issues related to the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic construction sites. Chieri also completed a project internship with the International Labour Organization, researching maternity and paternity leave policies in multiple countries. Chieri holds a Master's degree in International Human Rights Law from Lund University and a Bachelor of Laws from Chuo University.
