Clare Lane

Principal Consultant and E-fate group lead

Clare Lane has extensive experience in the fields of chemistry and drug metabolism. Starting as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Sussex, Clare conducted research on polymer synthesis for LED devices. Subsequent roles at AstraZeneca included positions as DMPK Senior Scientist, Associate Team Leader in DMPK, DMPK Design Leader, and Senior Isotope Chemist, focusing on drug discovery and oncology projects. Since 2013, Clare has worked at HSE as an Environmental Fate and Behaviour Specialist, contributing to the regulatory evaluation of biocidal products. Currently, Clare serves as Principal Consultant and E-fate group lead at ERM, overseeing the environmental fate and behavior group and conducting exposure assessments for various chemicals and pharmaceuticals. Clare holds a BSc Hons in Chemistry from the University of Reading and a D.Phil in Chemistry from the University of Sussex.
