Daniel Burns

Daniel Burns is a Senior Consultant at ERM: Environmental Resources Management since January 2022, with extensive experience in marine science and environmental consultancy. Previously, Daniel worked as an AMDI Project Officer at Tangaroa Blue Foundation from May 2019 to January 2022, contributing to marine debris prevention efforts. Prior roles include Marine Scientist and Operations Manager at Blue Planet Marine from March 2011 to January 2022, where responsibilities encompassed research, project leadership, and training development focused on marine fauna. Daniel also served as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Associate Lecturer at Southern Cross University from 2004 to February 2011, engaging in research, teaching, and collaboration on marine conservation projects. Daniel holds a PhD in Humpback Whale Migration and a 1st Class Honours Bachelor of Applied Science from Southern Cross University, as well as a Bachelor of Science from the University of Sydney.
