Elspeth MacKenzie

Elspeth Mackenzie is a Principal Heritage Consultant at ERM: Environmental Resources Management, providing historic and Indigenous cultural heritage management services since June 2016. Mackenzie has extensive experience in heritage assessments, impact statements, management plans, and conservation advice, as well as project delivery and client relationship management. Prior roles include Senior Heritage Consultant seconded to Shell QGC, Casual Senior Heritage Consultant at AECOM, and various specialist positions at Rio Tinto, where responsibilities ranged from cultural heritage systems to stakeholder engagement. Additional experience includes curatorial roles at Queensland Museum and Queensland Performing Arts Centre Museum, complemented by a strong academic background with a Master of Cultural Heritage, a Graduate Diploma of Museum Studies, and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Archaeology.
