Liam Fernand

Liam Fernand is a Principal Physical Oceanographer with over 20 years of sea-going experience and has served as Scientist in Charge on 10 large multidisciplinary research cruises. They currently work as a Principal Consultant at ERM and previously held a significant role at Cefas, leading a modeling team focused on UK shelf seas. Liam has authored or co-authored over 35 scientific publications and has supervised numerous PhD students. They earned a PhD in Oceanography from the University of Wales, Bangor, and have a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southampton.
