Mark Hughes is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in strategy consulting, techno-economic modeling, and academic research within the renewable energy and low-carbon sectors. As a Partner at ERM since 2012, Mark has driven impactful projects and served a diverse clientele, including BMW and the World Wildlife Fund. Prior roles include Director at Cambridge Modelling, where Mark led initiatives in renewable energy and climate change adaptation, and Head of Industry and Computational Modelling at Climate Risk, focusing on energy supply and sustainability strategies. Mark's academic background includes a PhD from the University of Cambridge and a Chevening Technology Enterprise Fellowship from London Business School, complemented by research and teaching positions at the University of Cambridge, including a focus on nanostructured materials and their applications in energy storage.
