Matthew Friend

Matthew Friend is a Senior Consultant and Hydrologist at ERM with 12 years of experience in the water resources field, focusing on hydrology, hydrogeology, fluvial geomorphology, and water quality. Previously, Matthew served as a Water Resources Specialist at Stantec from 2012 to 2021, where they contributed to hydrological monitoring and Environmental Assessments. Prior to that, they worked as a Crew Leader and Crew Member in the Wildfire Service from 2003 to 2008, managing fire crews and executing fire suppression strategies. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Technology in Environmental Engineering Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the University of Victoria.
