Max Smith

Max Smith is a Consulting Senior Associate in Engineering at ERM since March 2023, with a diverse background in chemical engineering. Previous experiences include an EH&S Intern position at Chromalox and roles as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering, where involvement in the Lubrizol Process Intensification Lab under Dr. Goetz Veser included projects on process integration. Max participated in a 10-week RAPID internship with AIChE to enhance knowledge in process intensification and worked as an Intern at Ecotone Renewables, focusing on anaerobic digestion systems. Additional experiences include a Process Engineering Co-op at Avient Corporation and earlier roles as a Heavy Machinery Operator and Team Lead at different companies. Max earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering in December 2022.
