Steve Taylor

Steve Taylor is an experienced consulting director at ERM since July 2021, specializing in leading capital projects across various sectors, including transport, renewable energy, technology, and mining. With a technical focus on urban planning, environmental impact assessments, and permitting, Steve has managed diverse large infrastructure projects such as hydrogen production and storage, solar and battery developments, offshore wind projects, and mining remediation. Prior to ERM, Steve held several roles at Network Rail, including Town Planning & Heritage Manager, overseeing a team of 15 town planners within the Property Department. Steve began a career in planning at Bolsover District Council as a Town Planner before progressing to senior positions. Academic qualifications include a Pg Dip in Urban and Regional Planning from Sheffield Hallam University and a BA in Human Geography from Nottingham Trent University.
