Billy Johnson

Billy Johnson has a diverse work experience, primarily in the field of software engineering. Billy most recently worked at Ernesta Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer starting in March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Handshake as a Senior Software Engineer from May 2022 to February 2023. From July 2018 to May 2022, they were a Software Developer at Four Winds Interactive.

Before transitioning to software engineering, Billy worked as a Steam Turbine Engineer at Siemens Energy from January 2009 to July 2015. As a lead component engineer, they oversaw the complete product lifecycle and was responsible for implementing the latest design upstream of manufacturing.

Billy Johnson completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University, where they attended from 2004 to 2008. In 2015, they enrolled in Galvanize - Denver, Platte, where they pursued a Full-Stack Web Development program called Full-Stack Immersive. This educational journey displays their background in both Mechanical Engineering and Full-Stack Web Development.
