Samuel Mathewson

Samuel Mathewson currently serves as a Staff Geologist at Engineering/Remediation Resources Group, Inc. since May 2024. Prior to this role, Samuel worked as a Laboratory Assistant at Veritas Genetics, where responsibilities included processing COVID-19 samples. Experience as an Environmental Scientist at Woodard & Curran involved independent fieldwork and office tasks related to groundwater and soil sample collection for site assessments. A Summer Research Internship at McLean Hospital included DNA and RNA extraction from post mortem brain tissue. Additional roles included positions at Pineland Farms Inc. and Massachusetts Audubon Society, where Samuel gained experience in environmental education and leadership. Academically, Samuel earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from St. Lawrence University, complementing studies with tutoring and a capstone project on adaptive forestry management.
