Chuck Smith

Chuck Smith is a brilliant executive with a long history of creating industry-changing business units and initiatives from the ground up. As a Vice President at Hewlett-Packard, Chuck exhibited transformational leadership to achieve #1 market share, business growth, and profitability – doubling top-line revenue growth at nearly 5 times the market rate. Under his leadership, HP also reduced operating costs by 30% and increased lifecycle operating efficiency, resulting in a 50% reduction in warranty costs. After a decade of service at HP, Chuck moved to the renewable energy industry as Executive Vice President of Global Service and later the EVP of Global Operations & Maintenance for SMA. There he built an O&M Solutions & Sales team from the ground up and established SMA as the 5th largest O&M provider in the world, with over 4 GW under active management today. In this role as Chief Service Officer, Chuck is establishing Erthos as the industry-leading global O&M service provider for utility-scale PV.
