Casey Cushing

Casey Cushing is currently the Head of Curriculum and Staff Development at the Esalen Institute, where they focus on creating expansive programming that nurtures human potential. Previously, they served as a Senior Education Specialist at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and held multiple roles, including Head of Lower School, at Alta Vista School in San Francisco. Casey's Master's research at the University of San Francisco centered on equity and inclusion in outdoor, experiential education. In addition to their educational pursuits, they write poetry and children's books with social or environmental themes, and perform music in a band.
