Joan Kim

Joan Kim has a long and varied work experience. Joan began their career in 2003 as an Operations Administrator for Zee Law Group, P.C. Joan then worked as General Manager for Animation World Network from 2002 to 2003. In 2008, they worked as an Applications Consultant for General Networks and simultaneously as an Adjunct Professor for California State University, Los Angeles. From 2010 to 2011, they held the role of IT Specialist/Engineer 3 for Southern California Edison and Onsite Consultant for The Walt Disney Company. From 2013 to 2018, they worked for Liferay, Inc. in various roles, including Program Manager/Senior Software Engineer, IS Marketing, Senior Software Engineer/Team Lead, Web Team, and Software Engineer, Marketplace Team. In 2018, they began working as Senior Software Engineer for eSalon and Manager, Student Application Development for the University of California, Riverside.

Joan Kim's education history includes a B.A. in English from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) between 1994 and 1999. Joan also completed a M.S. in Computer Science from California State University, Los Angeles between 2005 and 2007. In 2000, Joan Kim completed a course in Communication Arts at UCLA Extension.
