Esbjerg Ensemble performs classical chamber music with an uncompromising sense of quality, and is recognized for its innovative and versatile programming. The ensemble consists of 10 temperamental and expressive musicians from all over the world, all specially selected for their unique qualities. The ensemble has set the standard for chamber music in Denmark. On the initiative of local forces and the Ministry of Culture, Esbjerg Ensemble was established in 1967 as the first professional chamber ensemble in Denmark. The task then was the same as now – to perform classical music at the highest level.
