Manuel Alejandro Gil has worked in a variety of roles in the software industry since 2005. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Project Manager for ALBET S.A. and as a Senior Developer for Ojalá Studios in Havana, Cuba. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as a Software Developer for Freelance, a Software Engineer for Itelecom Ltd., and a Software Engineer for Signature South Consulting. Manuel Alejandro then co-founded CodeLabs, LLC. in 2015, where they served as Managing Partner & Co-Founder, providing software consulting and development services. In 2016, they co-founded SourceLabs, a Chilean software company specializing in custom software development and cloud technologies. Since 2019, they have been the Chief Technology Officer for Escala. Additionally, they have worked as a professor, teaching courses in web programming, artificial intelligence, computer graphics, database design, and introduction to service-oriented architecture.

Manuel Alejandro Gil's education history includes a Bachelor of Software Engineering from Instituto Superior Politécnico CUJAE and Universidad de Camaguey, obtained between 2000 and 2005. Manuel Alejandro also obtained a Professor degree from Instituto Superior Politécnico CUJAE in 2005. In addition, they have received certifications from the British Council for IETLS in 2014, from NIIT Limited for Object Oriented Application Development in 2007, and from Brainbench for Written English in 2001.
