Brian Gallivan

Brian Gallivan has extensive work experience in the field of information technology and security. Brian is currently employed by eSentire as the Director of Technical Operations, where they manage multiple teams to ensure the best experience for clients. Prior to this role, they were the Manager of Information Technology Operations at United Technologies Research Center, where they focused on information security, risk management, and budgeting. Brian also worked as a Senior Security Operations Center Analyst at eSentire, assisting customers in securing their environments. In addition, they have experience as the Manager of Information Technology at Springfree Trampoline, overseeing technology operations, budgeting, and performance optimization. Earlier in their career, Brian served as an IT Administrator at Ideal Industries, where they managed local infrastructure and implemented cost-saving virtualization measures. Brian also worked at Cybermation Inc. as a Professional Services Consultant, deploying workload automation tools and serving as a Systems Administrator.

Brian Gallivan attended Toronto School of Business from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained a degree in System Support Specialist with a focus on System Administration. Brian later pursued further education at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they specialized in Linux/Unix System Administration within the field of Computer Science. Additionally, Brian has obtained certifications such as CISSP® from (ISC)² in April 2017 and COBIT from ISACA.
