Ming Fu

Ming Fu has had extensive work experience in the field of software development and engineering. Ming currently holds the position of Senior Software Developer at eSentire since November 2016. Prior to that, Ming worked at Exinda Networks as a Senior Software Developer from April 2016 to November 2016. Ming was responsible for the WAN acceleration product and worked in the appliance team.

From July 2014 to March 2016, Ming held the role of Senior Software Developer at eSentire Inc., where they focused on network packet capture for Esentire Network Interceptor products. Ming'sresponsibilities included modifying the Intel network card driver to DMA packet to user-land and bypassing the Linux kernel socket layer.

Before eSentire, Ming worked as a Senior Software Engineer at NetSweeper Inc. for three years, from July 2011 to June 2014. During this time, they worked on major projects such as cookie-based user authentication and integrating the APPID finite state machine in the Linux kernel for web and application protocol identification.

Prior to NetSweeper, Ming served as a Senior Software Engineer at WatchGuard Technologies from July 2009 to July 2011. Before that, they worked at Borderware Technologies for eight years, from June 2000 to June 2008. In this role, Ming focused on transparent bridge interceptor for network inspection and firewall kernel hardening for FreeBSD.

Ming's earlier work experience includes a brief contract role as a Tier 1 System Administrator for Media Group in 2000, and as an Engineer at DSO National Laboratories from 1994 to 2000. At DSO National Laboratories, they were involved in software reverse engineering, information warfare, intrusion detection, OS hardening, Linux filesystem encryption, Linux security based on application profiling, and application firewalling.

Ming Fu obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from East China Normal University. The duration of this degree program is not specified. After completing the bachelor's program, Ming Fu pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, for a period of three years from 1986 to 1989.
