Simon Kneller

Simon Kneller has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles.

Simon began their career in 2013 with an internship at Porsche, where they worked with the management board of production and logistics. Following this, they joined Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) as a student research assistant, focusing on relationship management.

In 2015, they joined 1&1 Internet SE as a working student, specializing in forecasting and statistical modeling for customer lifecycle management.

Simon then moved on to Deutsche Bank in 2016, where they completed an internship in the global markets division, specifically in the structured equity transaction group.

In 2017, they further expanded their experience with an internship at PwC Deutschland, where they focused on financial services and valuation & strategy.

Since 2018, Simon has been working at esentri AG, initially as a consultant data scientist and later as a senior consultant in the same domain. In 2022, they were promoted to the role of Head of Industrial Analytics & IoT.

Simon Kneller has a comprehensive education history in the field of engineering and industrial management. Simon obtained a Master's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from 2015 to 2018. Additionally, they pursued further study in this field at the Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria in 2017. Prior to their Master's degree, Simon completed their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management at KIT from 2011 to 2015. Simon also briefly studied Engineering/Industrial Management at LaSalle Universitat Ramon Llull in 2014 as part of their Bachelor's degree program. Simon's educational journey began at Gymnasium St. Paulusheim, where they completed their high school education in General Studies from 2002 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Simon Kneller has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. These certifications include iSAQB® Certified Professional for Software Architecture - Foundation Level from Certible in November 2022, GitLab Certified Associate from GitLab in April 2021, Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org in December 2020, Dataiku DSS Level2 Certification - Advanced Design and Data Science from Dataiku in May 2020, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2019, and Dataiku DSS Certification from Dataiku in May 2019.
