Jiří Bracek

Jiří Bracek is a seasoned software engineering leader with extensive experience in the cybersecurity industry. Currently serving as Development Director at ESET since April 2022, Jiří previously held the position of VP Threat Labs at Avast Software from October 2016 to October 2020, overseeing the quality and performance of the company's multi-layer threat protection model and managing a large team of software engineers and malware analysts. Prior to that role, Jiří was Engineering Director at Avast, focusing on team integration following the acquisition of AVG Technologies. Jiří's career began at AVG, where as Engineering Director, the responsibility encompassed the efficacy of AVG AntiVirus operations, with earlier roles including Development Team Lead and Kernel-mode Developer, contributing to various aspects of antivirus technology. Jiří holds a Master's degree in Informatics from Masaryk University Brno.
