Jiuping Chen

Jiuping Chen is a Principal Geophysicist at ESG Solutions since June 2021, with a strong background in geophysics. Previous experience includes serving as a Principal Geophysicist at Schlumberger-EMI, focusing on hydraulic fracking and CO2 monitoring, and a Senior Geophysicist role at Schlumberger, where machine learning applications in EM telemetry were explored. Jiuping's academic foundation includes a master's degree in geophysics from China University of Geosciences and a Ph.D. in geophysics from Macquarie University. Additional notable roles include Research Associate/Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of British Columbia, where 3D MagnetoMetric Resistivity modeling was conducted, and various positions focused on EM modeling and inversion techniques across multiple organizations.
