Michael Culton

Michael Culton has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Michael is currently working as a Content Specialist at Engineered Structures, Inc. (ESI) since 2022. Prior to that, they founded and served as the Creative Director for Vector West, where they provided digital content support and consultation services to startups and small to mid-sized businesses in the western region.

Before Vector West, Michael worked as a Freelance Writer, offering their expertise in strategic messaging, blog and news posts, social media management, and website content creation. Michael has collaborated with various companies, including those in real estate, utility trailers, and rotomolded coolers.

In 2019, Michael was a Content Specialist at ECCO Safety Group, where they handled copywriting, SEO-optimized content creation, graphic design, and training material development. Prior to that, they served as a Supervisor of Crime Analysis at the City of Boise from 2012 to 2019.

Earlier in their career, Michael worked as an Analyst at the U.S. Department of Justice from 2010 to 2012 and served as an Officer and Analyst in the United States Air Force from 2004 to 2008. Through their various roles, Michael has developed expertise in content creation, strategic messaging, graphic design, data analysis, and leadership.

Michael Culton obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in International/Global Studies from Towson University, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Michael later pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in International/Global Studies from Old Dominion University, completing their studies from 2008 to 2010. In 2017, Michael enrolled at UC San Diego Extended Studies and obtained a certificate in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia in 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Michael Culton has also obtained several certifications. In September 2018, they completed certifications in "Creative DSLR Video Techniques," "Premiere Pro CC 2017 Essential Training: The Basics," "Video Production: Location Lighting," and "Video Production: Promotional Videos" through LinkedIn. Michael further expanded their skills by obtaining an SEO Foundations certification from LinkedIn in March 2021.
