Mateo Lopez is an experienced software development engineer with a strong background in machine learning and data analysis. Currently employed at Esker Inc since April 2021, Mateo focuses on research and development of software solutions. Prior to this role, Mateo contributed to ALTEN from September 2020 to October 2021, where responsibilities included implementing and training an autoencoder network on the Azure Machine Learning Platform to enhance image quality for OCR applications. In addition, Mateo gained valuable experience as a research assistant intern at NIRAL from July 2018 to June 2019, working on medical data analysis tools and interfaces for machine learning models. Mateo holds a Master's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Machine Learning and Data Science from EPFL (2019-2020) and a Master's degree in Engineering, focusing on image processing and synthesis from CPE Lyon (2016-2018).
